SignUp Now!Sadly I’ve had another 02 sensor fail on me but we’ve figured out it’s the condensation and moisture killing them. It’s because the angle of the sensor in the downpipe. To rectify it I’ve bought an innovate sensor protector, should be here Thursday along with my 3rd 02 sensor. Oh the joys !

Apparently not as you line up the holes with the sensor to keep the flow in line but we will soon see. What's the deal with these? Does it not remove too much of the sensor from the flow? Looks interesting for rotarys

I just hope it helps as killing 02 sensors is getting annoying. I really don’t want to have to reposition bung as although not a big deal it would mean messing with the thermomet heat protection.
Yes indeed. The O2 bung is a cool piece. Guessing that machined dot is to give a reference of where the hole is to allow you to line it up with the flow direction!?
I have a few cars with them quite close to the turbo, 13b and sr20 so interested to see you results.Yes indeed.
Yes the angle of the photo isn't great. It is actually in at a 90 degree angle but it is still poor placement. Moisture/condensation is just killing sensors so no choice but to move it. I have the 02 sensor bung now so have welding on in the new position plus a blocking bung to screw into the existing hole.Might just be the angle of the picture but agree with the tuner, terrible placement/angle for the Lambda, all suppliers recommend the tip to be pointing downwards or worse case parallel to the floor. Will be looking to getting my turbo housing etc done with that same heat treatment. its so good, performance and aesthetically!
SOOO.. how did the drive go?Sounding silky smooth, first drive tomorrow.
Perfect, no issues since moving.Hows the Lambda Sensor surviving now?
Nice one, are you running the innovate heat sinks?Perfect, no issues since moving.
Though we did have a slight config issue in the ECU so it's 50/50 as to whether that was this causing the issues or the moisture due to sensor location.
Yes I am running the innovate sensor bung. Seems perfect.Nice one, are you running the innovate heat sinks?
