Edit: August 20th is available and is a Friday. How does everyone feel about that day?

In the hopes that we can salvage a summer post-lockdown, I thought it would be a great idea to add another event owners can attend in 2021. I intend to organise a private track day / social event at Blyton Park in July or September 2021, and would like to gauge interest from the community in the following replies. We held a rotary-exclusive track day in 2019 at Blyton Park which turned out to be a success and great time for everyone involved. A link to some photos and the story are below:

I reckon we need at least 15 cars/people to sign up for the track day element of the event to make the costs manageable. I reckon with those participants and a small cost to others that are keen to show up for the socialising aspect and/or passenger rides then we can make this event a success and not cost anymore than a typical track day with Javelin or MSVT.

The plan would be to host the track day on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday and the majority of us would be staying in overnight accommodation like we did last time where we can have dinner and a few beers the night before.

In order to help with securing a booking with Blyton Park I would greatly appreciate replies to this thread of people that feel they are interested and have a >50% chance of coming along and meeting us and community members in July or September.

Once I gather some numbers and get an idea of how many are willing to commit to the idea then I can negotiate harder on price and the more people the cheaper the day will be overall for everyone.

Best,

Roy

I am interested too it’s just that July is my little girls and wife’s birthdays so depends on which weekend you choose. Will put my name down anyway.

No way am I passing noise test but would still come along to watch and meet more members
To be fair the noise restriction is on flyby and the mic is about 20m away from the edge of the circuit (think the limit is 95db from memory). At the day in 2019 I got caught at 100db, and they just asked me to chill a little when going past the mic.

If you're happy enough to go 50% throttle for 3-4 seconds of the lap then shouldn't be an issue.

Great point. I've been there with some cars that you could hear from a mile away that would just be a gear higher past the mic and absolute belt it and piss off the wildlife for the rest of the track.

With only a single backbox in the system and an external gate its rather obscene! If I get there and they're happy to let me out, I'd be happy to pay on the day but wouldn't want to pay and then loose the money if I'm not
