Pillow Ball Fitting, To grease or not to grease???

Just put all new pillowballs in and i'm wondering should i pack the gap between the pillowball face's and dust seal's with grease or not??
What have people done, what's best....?

Probably not necessary looking at that. The grease helps trap bits and keep them away from the joint, so I doubt a bit extra will hurt if you want to add it!

Actually scrap that ^, I just checked the Mazda factory service manual;
'Step 3. Fill the space between the pillow ball and rubber seal with grease'
So there you go

Yeah thats what i went for in the end, it had taken me ages to find it in the manual.
