Your FD has a battery connected? I'm impressed, must be one of the few.
You MOT'd it with the new bulbs?
I noticed this nice little piece of legislation crept in last year:
January 2021, the MOT Inspection manual has been updated to include LED bulbs.
Section 4.1.4 now states the following:
“Existing halogen headlamp units on vehicles first used on or after 1 April 1986 must not be converted to be used with high intensity discharge (HID) or light emitting diode (LED) bulbs. If such a conversion has been done, you must fail the headlamp for light source and lamp not compatible.”
Not stupid at all, to stop bellWell, fuck. I hadn't seen that. What a stupid piece of legislation.
It'll be interesting to see how MOT stations enact this as it's alot easier for them given it's a visual check. Poss harder if you have non clear lenses but they can seen if they lift the bonnet given the heatsinks most aftermarkets have. Not stupid at all, to stop bells driving around with insanely bright lights in their
box motors blinding everyone. Doesnt really apply to FD though as the light are so bad to start with it just brings them up to okish levels ahah
Oh dear what happened?
Phew, not as bad as you made out then, just leaks.General small leaks around the turbo, wastegate diaphragm had holes
