I thought maybe you were gonna be chavvin it up as well but maybe you had turbo issues and the NA rotary couldn’t get you sideways

I was actually just circling the roundabout waiting for Dave to come out of the car park in his Audi. Once I saw what the RX8 was doing I exited stage left.

Also the sort of thing that puts Mazda off hosting these events.

From what I understand LC Rotary got permission from Mazda to do the drifting.

He strapped in his little boy into the RX-8 before giving it a go.

A belated thank you to all those who supported the 7/7 day. It made the effort of the organisers; myself, Clive, Lisa, plus Grant (especially) at Mazda UK worthwhile to see so many people turn up and have a good time.

Sadly, due to another engagement, I couldn't be there, so big thanks to everyone (cib24 especially) for the great pics and videos.

There is a change of Brand Manager at Mazda UK, so whether the new guy will support such events in the future is unknown.

Side note: The bling wheels and stretched tyres weren't my choice and are now gone - replaced by some RE Amemiya AW-7s. I hate stretched tyres too.

I really enjoyed this day as my first entry to rotary life so thanks all.

I only purchased mine in June, I was about to strip it to clean it right up etc etc and this event appeared on Facebook. Was 460 mile round trip, it was only the 5th or 6th time I'd actually driven it and it was such a blast (other than getting used to the fuel consumption and putting up with the rattles).
