Hello all,

I am looking to buy some replacement new OEM parts for my car and was wondering if any of you had experience with Amayama? They seem to have a good selection of parts available. I'm 50:50 over them or RHDJapan at the moment, they seem fairly close together in pricing.

Shipping and taxes are the main unknown as always, I guess I'll order everything I want in one go from the same supplier to minimise costs.

I’ve just received my front and rear brake rebuild parts from amayama for my rs (minus the bleed nipples).

parts were around £80~
Delivery was around £15~
and I didn’t get any import taxes added (May have just been lucky?)

Ordered 21/11 delivered 5/12 so delivery wasn’t too long either.

The only thing I didn’t like was the lack of Mazda parts listed on the site. I couldn’t find anything unless it was for Toyota,Nissan,Lexus etc.
so make sure you have all the part numbers you need

That's great, thanks guys! I've got a list of the part numbers for the stuff I want so hopefully they'll be in stock or not on a massive back order at the least.

I've had a couple of bits from them and have no complaints. Some parts have been cheaper to get directly from Mazda though so it's worth checking with them too.

What is the best way of finding out what Mazda themselves have in stock short of speaking to a dealer? Is there a website anywhere where I could check?

Car parts are now free of duty from Japan, bought a new clutch from RHDJapan not too long ago !

I did just speak to my local dealer. Both of the guys on the parts desk are really helpful so now if I need anything I just ping them an email with part numbers and they get back to me within a day or so. Not instant but gives me time to have a look around online to get a feel for prices/availability from elsewhere.

There was a big sticker on the side of the box stating it was car parts. Didn't get stung and the clutch wasn't cheap !

I went to Mazda got price for center console bits. The guy was really helpful, printed off the parts diagram and gave me prices. Unfortuantly he was unable to give me a catalog as he said the prices fluctuate quite a bit.

Also would be 4 week wait shipped from Japan, but as least we wouldn't get stung with import tax.

Also 2x 5L FL22 was under £30 which was better than anywhere online which was suprising.

You may find they get the parts shipped to you quicker than that. I think they just quote the maximum time it may take. They gave me a 6 week lead time for the engine but it came within 2 weeks before I had chance to prepare for it!

I asked about Amayama mainly because I wanted to be a twat and fit the titanium gear shift knob from a Honda NSX (my old one was rattling about)! Although it's good to hear Mazda dealers look after you, I'll definitely keep them in mind for future stuff

Well I got a Bill this morning for my duty and tax on my clutch ! The duty isn't very much at all (about 3% ish), but the vat aint cheap :(
