I broke it quickly...And repeatedly...Chaste White Rebuild

Check that lim carefully. Mine was a bit rough around the edges. One of the bolts to the front iron wouldn’t sit flush either. Also it’s 8an rail.
Yeah hopefully Colum can sort any imperfections.

I’ve started to strip the engine bay to remove engine but before I do I need my friend Mark to come and measure up for new loom.

Meanwhile I’ve bought a few more little things.

An additional 3 port MAC valve as will run two for boost control. 2 x 3D printed MAC valve brackets. 2 x Syvecs switches to move between various MAP settings when tuned and a 3D printed dash bracket for the Syvecs D4 dash for when I can afford one.

To help keep the costs down a tad before I move to a more modern turbo I’ve decided to keep the HX50 turbo but I’ve sent it off to USA to have the compressor wheel changed from a 67mm to a 76mm meaning I’ll have a sizeable 77/86 with approx 1.3 AR for all the turbine flow. I’d guess capable of 800 on a rotary.

Next step get Mark started on loom, it’s very substantial compared to current loom, this is probably my biggest hurdle.

I then need to invest in a new ignition system - going to use M&W set up.

I’m waiting on an extremely swanky sump from Winchester - it’s custom made and still waiting for him to start fabrication.

Then I need to find a capable fabricator to make me an upper inlet - this is the inspiration.

Why did you send the Holset off to the US, plenty of places in the UK that can do the required machining and reprofiling for that?!

I remember this car and the intake mani. Made some crazy power and tq on a street port and held it to 8500rpm. If you do find someone to make this mani design it will be epic.

Is that the new ECU display in the steering column shroud?

All looking epic!!!

Yes going to use the Syvecs D4 dash so had this steering column surround 3D printed, have the CAD file so may get it made in aluminium at a later date but the 3D printed version seems sturdy enough.

I have a few options for inlet fabrication - just getting some quotes etc.

Nice dude.

Turblown are making some new upper and lower intake mani but not sure if there's any tests done yet to prove them holding higher rpm power more easily over the stock stuff. Really like that you are working on optimizing lower and upper intake mani instead of just using the oem stuff designed for 280hp. I know I know some will say the oem lower and upper inlets can make 800+hp.....but thats not the point.

£80 - don’t concern yourself with my wallet, I’m good.
Wasn't concerning myself with your wallet at all, don't get it twisted. More the fact that the cost to ship and return might be more than the cost to have the job done here.

The retarded company I sent it to here couldn’t even do it and they are considered to be one of the best, that tells you the state of this country.

Looks a fun challenge, but I am not offering as my TIG skills are weak :D

Will be pulling the rest of the engine out tomorrow for new owner to collect this weekend.

I gave it a hot compression test before removal - both rotors 7 to 7.5bar. At least the new owner has some peace of mind.

Colum hasn’t hung around fabricating the upper inlet for me - it’s not finished yet but looking really good and just what I hoped for.

I’ve sent him a big box today with throttle body, throttle body flange, water pump and thermostat. He looks to be cracking on with the porting and engine building, won’t be too much longer but going to have to wait a little longer for the sump from USA.

So next steps - send loom to my friend Mark so he can start the process of building the new Syvecs loom. Wait for Winchester sump from USA and rebuilt Holset from USA too.

Need to buy ignition and I think thats the last major investment barring a water/meth kit.

Hoping for a first start by Christmas but we will see.
