Full strip down/restoration

How come you should get the rust repaired after it has been dipped?

But so far, wicked advice, thanks.

Also when restoring a car don’t just do the exterior stuff that you can see - take the chance to do everything

the drive train, sand blasting all the parts to get like new

New bushes, bearings and everything so it will drive like new

Redo the wiring

Sound proof the car

And redo all the interior plastics and fabrics

A respray doesn’t add much value to a car compared to the cost of the job but a full restoration does as it appeals to a very different level of buyer
Yeah, I'm doing absolutely everything I can with the car. Might as well while it's in pieces.

all bolts need to be bagged and labelled and put neatly In a bag taped to the corresponding part.

You can't do this if you're taking the bolts to the players, as the just lash them all in the chemicals together.

I did a spreadsheet on my mapping laptop and wrote the specs of each bolt down for my Jag. Qty and location, that way when they all came back I just had to sort them by thread type and length and found them all again pretty easy.
Will do this again.

I didn't do this on the FD and mixed a few bolts up but generally went OK.
