So tonight I decided to rip the box out in preparation for getting the engine out, exactly like an mx5 easy and quite enjoyable tbh aside from the pull bearing style like the s2000s, decided to just unbolt the pressure plate, think the cat is going to be missed - not! And here’s some awesome wiring just for the hell of it

So Sunday, took a lovely trip down to sunny Essex where I dropped my engine off with @Stu Rotortorque & jay at rotortorque, fingers crossed best case scenario but I’m prepared for the other cases!

So whilst I’ve got my box out decided to replace my annoying ass gearstick bush that has gone floppy! Seeing what’s left I’m not surprised! phos bronze replacement fitted! no more floppy gearstick! just no engine to go with

I am still here just doing what I do to every build, forget to update the build thread and do loads of stuff so I constant have to catch up with myself

Soooo fuck it I’ll try and add something now, new seats have arrived, Not fully what I had in mind with the logo Had a different picture and idea in my head but couldn’t afford brides the quality is good and they weigh a couple of kilos so weight reduction is looking good! Here!

So the strip down started, due to buying my v mount set up this pfs automotive intercooler setup made and patented by pip at wgt this is up for sale pipwork and duct included!

Engine on its way out and getting sent to stu at rotortorque!, was a hell of a faff with the bloody downpipe as I was on my own had to get up Jack the crane up, back down move the down pipe etc etc!
I also had a supra import with the veilside kit in having brakes and full service at the same time so had to take the opportunity for a pic!
And tada few hours later one empty engine bay!

So to pay for my engine rebuild I had to sell my dads mk5 Honda prelude type s, if you know preludes you’d know this is a real rare one and as he left it to me when he passed from cancer the other year it really hit home, it’s gone to a true enthusiast and it’s helped fuel my bill so knew it was the right time!

So what do you do with an empty engine bay? you strip it and paint it of course! And get bits everywhere!

A lot of rubbing down/ keying later, majority of bay prepped for paint!

Air con system out, won’t be needing it for this one! first coats of paint down in nighthawk black, spoiler alert the blue flek doesn’t come through the lacquer much but the finish ends up being really clean so pretty happy!

A nice trip up to derby to see my friends at tarmac sportz and to have a look at Chris mk4 supra tt aero which was having a few running issues, and of course his nice r35, picked up my HKS downpipe I had ordered on for me

Had one of my best mates Zs in today so had to get an obligatory photo of them together because they’ve not been to a show together ! in the brake rollers it only just cleared the headlight aim runners
