So after all the messing around and the booth going off! I finally have a bumper painted! also fitted my Rx lights taani’s we have finally got somewhere! So happy to have it at the starting point! now I can continue with getting ready for hillclimbs!

Birthday midweek trip to C & M, crashed the German show and got a decent spot, suppose the engine was designed by a German engineer so it’s still fitting

Not overly much to report, Bought some dress up bolts to make up some missing uniformity with the spoiler, changed over the purple to blue. And also removed the horrible crusty bolts for the new stainless domed with black nuts to finish it off, everything looks right now!

Finally got round to removing cruise control, as it was annoying me and I didn’t/ can’t use it anymore. Gives me some more space.

Obviously done plenty of dress up bolts getting rid of those horrible normal bolts aha

As I’ve found it hard to find any guides online which give you a run down, here’s a brief one for fitting a fuel tank baffle - we start at this hatch!

You’ll have to remove the white multi plug, and this earth here, can be a bit tricky to not break, it’s a push down where I’ve circled here. Pull it off and then clean up the contacts

As you can see the Earth here is corroded and the bolts aren’t much better, I’ve been having an issue with my fuel level not reading full and believe it or not I wasn’t driving haha.

I just marked the pipes to make sure not to switch it over. Remove the screws and clean the contacts to make a better connection and hopefully sort out the fuel gauge.

You can tuck the piping on the left under the hatch to make it easier to get the sender out

Next, before opening the tank, remember to blow off all the crap out the way so it doesn’t drop into the tank , also blow off everything that’s going to be in the area

Remove the pipes and plug them up, unbolt the connectors and move them out the way

Next get a clean bucket to put the sender in, otherwise you’ll regret it later

Advise, when working on the fuel system, disconnect the battery to avoid sparks for any reason what so ever

Pull the sender out whilst being delicate for the level sensor, you’ve got to kind of pull it up and to the left whilst angling it
