Copyninja Street FD - GT3 Build

Bosch provides a specification for protection of electronic fuel injectors, which is a minimum capture efficiency of 87% at 5 microns, and 100% capture efficiency at 35 microns.

A human hair is 50 microns

Time for another quick update

I sold my E92 M3 and potentially on the lookout for newer DCT car.

What do you guys have as a 2nd or 3rd car?

I think there at least a couple of M3 owners in this club.

My RX7 is coming along well. Tim is working hard to get it all ready for collection. I'm looking forward to getting it run in and mapped.

I was speaking with stu from rotor torque to preliminary get booked in for a mapping session for early September.

Got some ANSU 1500cc injectors as I've been told they have better spray pattern and atomization.

I've also booked a track day on 17th September at Spa. There's a lot of my mates going so should be really good. R35 GTRs, E92 M3s, VX220, Noble M12, F Type V8 and i'm really looking forward to take my FD there...will be a dream come true!

Not sure how my FD will perform in that pack of cars as they are all stupid fast and very capable but i'll do my best to represent the old skool JDM RX7.

This is the first year we're not doing the late Circuit Days Spa event. Doing Brands Hatch GP the week before instead and before they moved the date it was a week out from the Nurburgring date.

Great circuit, favours the powerful cars, especially Kemmel straight which is a steep incline (noticeable when you walk it!) all the way. Weather is similar to the Nurburgring, very unpredictable.

This is a good guide:

Make a note of the run off areas. Most of the corners and braking zones have an escape route if you get it wrong, so better to let the car run wide than risk a high speed spin.

Ahh shame would have been great to see another FD at spa. Brands is good as well...id def like to do that at some point. Yh i was booked in for October but they changed it to September which is brilliant!

Yup defo and ive got a shorter 4.44 final drive, so im not sure how the fd will perform. That ring dorito rx7 seems to have done an incredible lap at spa.

Thanks for the guide mate, I've seen that so many times and also got assetto corsa with Logitech g29 and manual shifter to learn the circuit.

Thanks for the run off areas tip..defo done want to spin at 100+mph....i hear its a fast flowing circuit. How did you get on with your rx7?

What is your top speed with a 4.44? I'm over 150mph (GPS) up Kemmel. What is the spec of the 'ring dorito'? My optimal(Race Chrono) last year was 2:49, with a destroyed front wheel bearing. I hardly ever get a clear lap.

I've uploaded a few vids, here's an example. The rest of the day was wet, but plenty fun.

I have no idea of my top speed with a 4.44. I've got a dragy so i'll test mine when i get up there. The gear calculator suggest 170mph at 8krpm in 5th gear. However I have no idea what it will clock for real with the Dragy gps. Id imagine 150/160mph will be the top speed.

2.49 is fast as dude. well done. I highly doubt i'll be as fast as that!

The ring dorito rx7 is fully caged running a full Bridgeport with a borgwarner 363 turbo. Not sure about the rest of his spec tbh but he rips it around there in the 2.45s range.

niiiiceee thats a lovely, where was the pic taken?

That was taken around Thurso area in Scotland half way through the NC500

What's the running costs like on this beast? I'd get one if I wanted a 4 door.

They're not as bad as you would think tbh - I mean it eats fuel, but thats never worried me on any car and insurance is high (but I'm in Central London).

Couple of big jobs, but once they're done they're done. Namely brakes, clutch and factory DRC suspension swapped out for coilovers, but like I say; once you've done those it's just a V8, so low stress and temps. Mine had all that done and hasn't needed any work in 4 years so far and is honestly the best car I've owned, considering everything I asked it to do. Minor servicing (once per year) is about £200 and major servicing every 2 years is £400.

I would love to do the NC500. what does it cost to do it all?

It's one of the best holiday's I've ever had, can't recommend it enough - so beautiful - the wildlife, history the views. We did a bit of a food holiday so went to specific places just for that, as well as the must see places round the route. It can be done as cheap or as expensive as you want, generally you want at minimum 5 days, ideally about 7-10 so that you can stay in places for one more than night.

You can go either clock-wise or anti-clock-wise, and anti-clock-wise is the slightly more favoured way because the really beautiful things and sights are on the South Coast, that and you don't start off on the thin / sketchy roads to begin with. We did 10 days and saw almost 'everything' we also tacked on Loch Ness and Edinburgh as I'd never been to either before, as well as a couple of days in the Isle of Skye or The Three Chimneys. So it's super flexible, needs a A LOT of research, but that's half the fun.

That sounds amazing. I will have to do it once some form of normality returns.

My RX7 is finished and ready for collection next Friday. I'm really excited to pick her up.
