Copyninja Street FD - GT3 Build

Do you have a link ?

Sure, here Sakebomb Pedestal

It's not the cheapest, but it is very nicely made as with all Sakebomb products.

Here's a couple of pics of it on one of my old motors, it sits nice and low so you can run a larger filter element than stock:

Thank you for linking this. I got some universal one and it didnt work well at all. It was leaking quite a bit so got rid of it.

Personally I think 0-60 times are pointless in the real world and no disrespect to the owner but his driving/launches were pretty poor. With a proper launch you’d get that below 5 seconds for sure.

Yup so many variables for 0-60mph....thus the 60-100mph, 60-120 and 60-130mph is easier to compare as essentially you have to find a straight road an gun it haha!

Progress has been slow as I need the new sandwich plate to plug in the sensors. Fuel pressure, oil pressure and oil temp.

Spoke with @Stu Rotortorque and advised to get the sensors fitted then will get me booked in for a map.

Got the car cleaned and detailed. Routine maintenance is going well....just eager to get mapped and feel some boost. It's been too long!

I've been patiently getting ready to overhaul the underside of the car so it feels and drives to it fullest potential. I'm looking for front and rear sub frame collars but not entirely certain the best place to get these from. Anyone in the UK make and supply these at all?

Found some later spec rear subframe supports.

Quick Update

Got my mapping session booked in with @Stu Rotortorque and jaydee next sat (weather dependant, hopefully it doesn't pour down)
Providing this goes as planned I should have some dragy gps acceleration times to post to compare a single turbo rx7 with current gen cars!

Also got all my sensors installed and car is running sweet without any issues.

Mapping got cancelled due to poor weather and with the current lock down with Stu and jaydee being in a tier 2 lockdown and me being in wales mapping is not likely to go ahead this month.

So I'll just have to be patient and wait.

Got a new steering wheel as the oem 370mm wheel was getting difficult to live with. Should have really done this years ago.

I'm also looking for a new bucket seat. Any recommendations welcome, ideally looking for a nice and comfy bucket which sits as low as possible.

Mapping session has now been booked in with Pip for next weekend....so fingers crossed I can get some boost action soon and then I can finally overhaul and restore the interior and underside bushings in the winter and enjoy the car next year.

Got some more parts come through as going to refurb and upgrade the brake system over the winter.

Stock rear caliper upgrade to work with 330mm x 20mm brake discs.

Did you get those made? what disks do they work with?

Purchased from DM motorsports in their closing down sale. 330mm by 20 mm will work with stock pads or can go upto 330mm by 22 mm but may need to skim the stock pads if new. Not entirely sure if they work with bigger discs

Got the car mapped by Pip today.
Mapped at 0.75bar and made 391bhp and 316lb ft.
I'm very happy with it, the pull is smooth and strong and at least I can safely floor it now.

Its a super conservative map.

Ran into some issues during the mapping session.

1. Aem wmi would not inject any water, potentially a faulty controller.

2. Not mapped at high boost or even waste gate pressure of 0.85bar boost as link ecu threw an error code stating oil metering pump not meeting target requirement. Has anyone had this issue before when mapping?

Do you know if the OMP has been calibrated ? There is a separate map for metering.
That is a very good question, do you know how I can check if the omp has been calibrated? Do you have a cal file for the omp metering? I had to calibrate all my sensors manually but not sure about how i can look into omp calibration?
