Heater unit leaking water

Hi all, I’ve been looking everywhere but can’t seem to find any info. When I pour water over my windscreen it seems to be finding a way into passenger side foot well. I’ve lifted the carpet and seems to be dripping in from the heater motor directly above my ecu which isn’t ideal. My carpet has puddled also. Anyone know where this leak could be coming from? Or how easy it is to fix? Or any recommendations on where I can take the car to be looked at in the south east. Thanks for any help

There is a pipe that comes from the bottom of the heater box, it’s suppose to take the condensation from the box through the bulk head and can quite often fall out So worth checking

I’ve looked at everything I can get to. I’ve not taken anything apart only lifted the carpet. It seems to me that the white heater unit has filled with water and is dripping out of it. When I turned the fan on it leaked more

I may be wrong but I thought if heater matrix gone it would be letting in coolant? I’ve been in the car and had someone pour water on the windscreen and watched it coming out of the white heater unit?

Sounds like its getting in through the fresh air ducting
I would check that out and make sure all the drains in the system are clear and working

How do I get to the fresh air ducts? I’ve read something small about the sucking but can’t seem to find how to get in there

I have no idea, car hasn't seen water since i bought it 3 years ago.

I'll have a look at it tomorrow

Isn't there something under the cowl that can leak?

I'd take the cowl off then if that doesn't work the dash out, to see where it's coming from

I was hoping not to take the dash out but if needs must. Seems like there’s too many plastic clips that can break. But will probably have to do that

I’ll take it out if I have to just wondered if I can get to the air ducts underneath without taking it out

It could be leaking through the screws that hold the windscreen cowl in place, take the cowl off by removing the screws
and mastic the parts that they screw into. that was the problem with mine when the front carpet got wet and looked like
it was coming from the heater matrix.

That spunds a.good shout. I've seen cars leak in loads from fron the most unlikely of places.

I’ve just looked at the screws and even if the water got through them it would just be going into where the wiper mechanism is? Which water gets in anyway?

Put a hose pipe down into the gully where the wiper mechanism is and turn it on hard pointing it to the passenger side and you will see water running
onto the heater matrix.

If you could get into the section under the cowl there is a duct that sits directly above the heater matrix, water runs into this when
leaking from the clips that the screws go into, seal up the clips screw things with mastic and refix the screws.
