Hello,

Where do people normally install aftermarket Oil Temp and Pressure Senders for gauges?

Do people use Oil filter sandwich plates or take off somewhere existing?

I found these two that seem to suggest adapting the factory pressure sender.

Cheers

I just used one of those cheap £20 sandwich plates from eBay. Never had a leak. It may not be the most accurate location for the oil temp sensor but I don’t track my car and I use it only as a guide to see if my engine is warmed up

Its pretty accurate location to be fair. The first place the pump sends the oil after it's been through the cooler is to the filter housing to he filtered before going around the engine.

Use the ffe filter pedastool from tgs. Much better than using sandwich plates and introducing more places for potential leaks.

It looks like if he were to use that he would need to change his oil lines to -AN lines, which adds another project. I have over 2500 miles on my sandwich plate and no leaks whatsoever, and I would check after almost every run.

Im going to order one of these and a 1/8npt splitter

sandwich plate oil filter adator job for me too probably 7 years with no issues
