That was Dandan's. Pretty much what happened, yeah. But he sold it first. Then stolen and trashed. I'm still jealous of his wiper motor tuck.

I swear that car was up for sale when I was looking to buy mine, was only like 8/9k to!

Shame it got stolen!!

I'm sure he wouldn't mind me saying, but he paid someone a fair wadge of cash to do it.
TBH it's a huge ballache. There's no real 'how to', you just have to have a think about what goes where and what you need, there are always compromises.

It's on my list! Did you do your the same way? Hybrid with an mx5 one and installed behind firewall?

No, asked him and he just told me it was done by someone else. And that it was a hasle, and hard to adjust,,,
I went my own way,,, Its the oem-motor, installed behind isch, and fabbed arm for it.. wipes like standard and havent done anything to it for 2 years

Has nobody developed a motor that's small enough to direct drive a single wiper these days?

I remember making custom linkage to drive a single wiper with full sweep race car style single wiper on my first FD. Never want to touch non standard wipers again, ever .

Like the above car but stock brakes and r888 I got mine rebuilt and smoked them in 5 laps with decent tyres..........

What part smoked? I’ve seen a lot of track builds retaining the stock brakes with just upgraded pads and fluid and not heard of any issues

Trying to remember the setup:



rebuilt fronts
Carbon laronse rc6 brake pads all round
Stop tech grooved disks front and back
braided hoses
Blue stuff fluid

Proper slicks not r888

There was very little warning going from a little fade to shit yourself no brakes with sharpe bend coming up.
