Is there anyone here running the Vibra-Technic Engine Mounts? They seem to be the closest to a rubber engine mount after OEM and while pricy at 120 a piece, a dam sight cheaper than new Mazda items.

Car is a road car, not a track car and undergoing a comprehensive refresh right now.

I use landrover polyurethane mounts,I have a sump brace (not the DM one) Handles 443hp not a problem. Doesn't even vibrate the car. Cost £15 pounds for the pair..

I have some brand new vibra technic engine mounts. Surplus stock. £210 delivered

I have a set of them too (engine is out on a stand the last year or so) and they look a.lot shorter than the standard ones. Have a sump brace also but even with that, appears a good deal shorter than the standard ones. I've the dimensions on a thread somewhere.

Did you find the height similar to oem? Maybe have the wrong ones!

When I measured this I think it's a mm or two lower then stock, my brace is that Aussie one which has the squiggles cut in to make it sit flat flat I'm pretty sure that was 3mm thick.. engine looks like it's in right spot. The sump isn't hanging down or anything.

Massive improvement from before tho. None of that engine lash when you come on or off the power. Used to really unsettle the car.

I've got them, they have really good reviews. Not been out in mine since

Dandan gas VT mounts in his old car. They were great. Way better than the Transit and Hockey Puck options I've tried.

I've actually bought a set of Land Rover defender ones and just went back to recheck them as well as compare to these.

Both the Land Rover ones I have, and the listing above at 35mm thick. The standard Mazda ones I measured at 50mm.

I do have the sump brace so that still leaves it half an inch lower! I've read in places about this causing fouling, you're obviously not experiencing it?

I still need convincing in the Transit and LR ones given such a size difference. If they were 45mm thick of go with them no problem..

You got the wrong ones 85% sure that these are the ones I bought. Was a while ago.

Looked at those and they're poly mounts, ideally I want rubber just to be softer. Cross referenced the part no on these for the.rubber eqivilent and they're different dimensions. ANR1808. Poly is 44mm and rubber is 37mm thick. It's the rubber version I have already!

If o could find a.45 to 50mm rubber mount like this it's be ideal.

It says in the listing it's the same shore rating as rubber mounts. Only they are made from polyurethane which lasts longer than rubber

If you near Leeds you can come see for yourself .. I don't have any vibration car is smooth and the engine doesn't feel like it's trying to leap out the bay anymore.

Just trust me..

Might give them a shot. Unfortunately I'm a bit away, based in Ireland!!

Bit off topic.

when I used to have an old BMW e21 I found I could not get uprated steering rack bushes.

So I got an original rubber one, then made a mould and bought liquid polyurethane. Basically you mix this stuff 50/50 ratio and then you pour it into the mould. About two hours later you can pull it out. I can't find pics of them but I found some of a home made diff bush..

Nowadays I use this stuff sometimes to fill in the voids of original bushes on my daily drivers or make feet for cupboards. Handy stuff to have around. You can get different hardness. 80shoreA is what I used to make my bushes, you can get much harder stuff like shoreB there's a guide somewhere on the internet
