Afternoon all.

I want to get my car under sealed professionally. Any recommendations or processes?

Thanks

I'm exclusively going yo use Upol Raptor on any vehicle bottom i go near from now onwards :)

Maybe even tinted!

Give it a good clean, treat any rust areas and slap on epoxy mastic chassis paint. Dintrol stone chip paint for the arches

Underseal is alright on a landy, but I wouldn't use it on an FD. Joe's post has the process nailed imo (y).

I think it's because stone chip peels easier than mastic! The mastic will most likely have a longer life! That's my thought on it anyway!

Yeah the mastic is more like paint and will last pretty much forever

I’ve managed to scrape some off somehow on the underside of the seat tubs, I think I musy have bashed the subframe against it or something

When you day compare dinitrol? you mean cavtity wax? that's different all together.

May ways to skin a cat, but I'd say:

1. Bare metal
2. Factory electroplate
3. Epoxy mastic
4. Joint sealer - dum dum etc tends to skrink so i'd always go pu - i like indsa or tiger seal
5. A quality stone chip, or Upol raptor - its touch as nails and tintable.
6. you could over paint teh stone chip with 2K if you wanted a show bottom, or put Shutz on if you want more muck to protect it, but I'm not really a fan
7. then spray in your cavities warm dinitrol cavity wax, on a warm day so it flows.

If at 1. replacing rust with new metal i'd sand blast to get a good key before epoxy.

oops I forgot cavity wax, was easy to do but I had to buy and injection gun as well, I've got loads left so if anyone in the north west needs it doing just holla.

I used at least 2 tins on my FD, might have been 3, did it in two stints if I remember right, and yes brush on, but just bin the brush after. can post some pics on my build thread if interested
