Hey guys,

Me again. So I’ve been driving my car a lot since getting the new turbo pack in. I’ve noticed that there’s a really strong petrolly smell literally all the time. I can even smell it inside the car when I get in it first thing in the morning. This can’t be normal can it?

Definitely not normal and needs investigating. Could be that you have a fuel leak in the engine bay which can lead to a fire if you’re not careful. Common culprits are the fuel pulsation damper (on the end of the primary rail), injector seals, fuel pressure regulator (check the vacuum line is on it as that can give off a fuel smell).

If you’re running stock sequential twins then you’re in for a lot of fun getting to the primary injectors to check those 🙈

Yay, this sounds like fun. I should have expected something else was going to go wrong. A month or so of running it without any problems was too good to be true.

You defo have a leak. I'd not drive this car until you sort it.

tbh you should go buy a fire extinguisher
