Hey guys, I didn’t want to hijack Fiddys thread so done one of my own..

So I got the car with an MG ZS Spolier fitted (badly)!! The car is going in for a respray from the roof backwards (Mon 4th June) including replacing the knackered hatch.

So here’s my quandary..

Should I go

Spoiler-less
Refit the MG (correctly)
Fit one of my OEM (92+) which are quite flat
Ducktail (I have the full CSG setup)
GT Wing (not garishly high though)

Pics for attention (also would appreciate pics of yours for ideas please)..

When I read MG spoiler I must admit I did cringe a bit, but tbh that doesn't look half bad!

As above, go with whatever you prefer the look of :).

Personally, I'd go with one of the three oem options or Mazdaspeed.

It’s a difficult decision however I feel from looking at this pic of my car it looks as though the back is lacking a spoiler

I’ve gone with the 99 wing as it does make the rear end better, obviously my opinion. I’m abit messed up though as I’ve also bought a carbon Scoot bonnet that not many people like haha

This is so weird now, a number of people have said the MG looks good on the car.
Whoever fitted it though, literally drilled straight through the hatch and just bolted it underneath (no protection sealant or anything). As a result, it’s rusted all around and through the hatch!

I’d love a 99 Spec, but it’s out of my reach for the time being. I also like the look of a ducktail.. but attaching one to my CSG Lights terrifies me ?

SO you have the CSG ducktail and the CSG rear lights?

I’d fit both if you do go spoilerless , fitting is simple enough

When I first saw the spoiler I thought EVO 7, then I read MG and I thought wow they are so similar, just a little narrower.

My advice would be take the MG one off for a few days and plug the holes, see how you like it.

My opinion is that Mazda put rear wings on these cars for a reason, the rear end is light and so the wing helps with high speed stability and traction. I must admit though I like the look of both, with or without. It's personal preference at the end of the day, but you should try my suggestion that will make your mind up.

I couldn’t really afford the 99 wing so bought a Knight Racer copy. It’s pretty good. For £300 delivered

Sorry I meant that I have the tail lights and middle brake light (I don’t have a Ducktail as yet). I was looking at the Concept 7 as CSG one would be way too much!

CSG lip deletes the centre light as well, which you probably know already

I'd go OEM, defo not spoiler-less looks odd IMO.

The current MG one works also just which you prefer.

you don't wanna go 99 spec after you've painted, as it will just be a ballache getting it to match again. better off doing it in a oner

Well it looks like the decision has been taken out of my hands for the time being anyway.. I’m going to have to go “Spoilerless”!!

The MG is a shocking fit underneath and was probably the initial cause for the damage to the hatch. So is a “no no”

The OEM broke when being removed off the replacement hatch and needs repairing to the point of not being worth the effort (all screw mountings have snapped and there’s a large crack right through the centre of it).

I’m going to look at a Ducktail from Concept 7 now I think.

Thanks for the input guys as always, very much appreciated 👍

Why don’t you buy another OEM off eBay. There’s a couple on there atm that aren’t silly expensive
