So i purchased some side steps for my FD a few weeks ago, along with some Well nuts to install them.
However when going to install them and i just cant seem to bring myself to drill holes in the car 🤦‍♀️.... am now thinking maybe i should find some good adhesive and stick it on?

Just wanted to get some peoples opinions really, should i just stop being a pussy and get on with it, or is adhesive a good way to go?

I'd use the two bolts that secure the bottom of the wing for the front and use some rubber coated bar with a rivnut in it through one of the rear inspection holes to attach the rear. Then 3m or similar tape in the middle. I wouldn't consider drilling my sills for side steps.

I like that idea... will definitely look into doing it this way. (y) thanks..

😂 😂 😂 nothing against people drilling holes, whatever your taste may be:unsure:😂
I'd probably have ended up drilling it myself anyway if i had enough encouragement. (The side steps that is, not neons 😂)

I don't see whats wrong with drilling them, they're already full of holes. Just make sure its all sealed so no bare metal is exposed.
I'd use rivnuts

yeah there basically the same as rivnuts, I'd probably get a load of seam sealer around the whole thing when its inserted.

I used the two front wing nuts and used two self tappers a the back ( I intend on drilling the holes made for the self tappers out for rivnuts at a later date) I squirted silicone in and around the hole and ran black silicone along the length of the steps.

I'll take a look next week and see what i can do.. thanks (y)
