Should a stock IC rad be fully sealed at the plastic/metal seam?

Most likely a dumb question, but wondered if there is an internal gasket or seal, as well as the external metal crimping.

I don't think so! Usually when it leaks through the plastic then it's time to launch it in the metal pile!

Oh. Do you think it could be fixed? The metal crimping tabs could be undone, with a suitable sealant injected, and done back up. Sound feasible?

Not sure....I launched mine in the bin because I didn't want it to happen again 😂

Oh and also.....I genuinely would not go anywhere near sealants! When mine went.....I put k seal in! When I took my engine apart it took me a hole day to get most of that k seal out! Even now I see speckles in my coolant!
