Hi Guys,

I need one of you series 8 owners to do me a favour if you would be so kind.

I'm in the process of upgrading my front end Series 7 (Efini) to a series 8 99 spec, it's all genuine Mazda but want to know if the front bumper is supposed to fit flush with the white reinforcement bar behind the number/registration plate? Would any of you be kind enough to remove your number plate and check, take a photo for me? I don't really want to force it back and crack the paint it it is not supposed to be flush.

I have the 10mm panel clip in place but there is still a gap between the two moulds, and so this has me concerned. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What are the panel gaps for the bonnet and wings like when you bolt the bumper up? That will tell you if it’s seated correctly.

Also wings have locating holes on the top to line up that way you know your wings are bang on

Wings and bonnet line up perfect on the car, the locating holes still have their tape on. The problem is with the bumper bolted up it's slightly over to one side and the headlight covers rub. The Middle of the bumper almost touches the bonnet where as the outer edges (inner edge of headlight cover) has a gap both sides.

I'm wondering if I've not quite riveted the alloy brackets in the correct place?

Sorry I can't be of any help, but off topic, in the main Picture on the left hand side what is the duct called that is fitted under the bit that attaches to the wheel arch liner, mine is missing/ come off.

Haha, got to check these things out!

Not sure if this pic is of any use, but I took this after spraying my fd last summer:

Many Thanks Ceylon, it appears to look the same as what I'm currently dealing with, is your 10mm clip flush with the rebar though or is there a gap?

Thread Highjack:)

Anyone have a part number for the Brake Cooling duct as I can not find them anywhere and I have now given up.

Thanks for the reply but I only need the very bottom bit shown in the picture that clips in.
