Yes a bit scared at first tbf but got it done, the old seal ripped out all the sold adhesive out so was quite easy to install. Just got to make sure the channel and surface area is super clean as its only one shot lol. As they were in the box from Japan, all wrapped up, I laid it on the car with tap for a couple of days so the mold took shape before installing it. This helped a lot as all the twist and bends had come out by then.Did you DIY those seals?
Yh was also told that, but you can get away with it. Either the old seal was not fitted correctly or due to time it got damaged/ perished by the weather or when the body shop ripped it out, all the old adhesive came out all in one go leaving me with a very clean surface. Some residue removing was involved but was easy. I know what you mean about the lip, when installing it I made sure the bottom lip was seated in place before the top one for a sold seal. As it was my first time, I practiced installing it dry a couple of time LMAO.Those seals are supposed to be installed with the screens out. They have a lip that sits around the screen.
