Not spotted on the road

The lad lives near me its a clean example and well looked after.

What's the difference?

Padded armrest rest box in the centre console instead of an ashtray.
Hole cover instead of cigar lighter.
Single oil cooler rather than twin.
Softer suspension.
N3C1 early spec turbos rather than the N3G1 turbos with abradable seals (Probably the most notable and desirable late spec upgrade that unfortunately the RB's didn't get).
265PS rather than 280PS.
Clear rear window rather than tinted.
Different seat cloth.
Softer bushes.
No front strut bar, interestingly the one fitted to this car is the super early pre 1993 adjustable type.

That's most of them I think, going from memory .

Damn! I didn't realise. Type R, as a minimum is the way to go then for those OEM spec later models than. Good to know, cheers!

Will remember to get those VIN numbers checked on here before I'm in the market for one.;)

Yes, always for sure check the VINs or if in doubt, drop me a PM and I'll tell you what it is. There is a lot of confusion about late spec models and many owners don't know what they've got, they're often getting listed as the wrong models!

Ideally you'd want a type R and if you're already shelling out for a late spec the price difference isn't huge. The next jump point again would be to an RS for the more desirable gear/diff ratios and bigger oem brakes.

Sounds good. I think once I've sold mine that'll be my next step. Finding an original spec post 99.

Much appreciated!
