sorry to hijak, i didn't find any pills in the vac lines or on the turbo actuators on mine. they're 99 spec, which i'm sure i read the pills were built into the actuators. does this sound right?

They're part of the nipples on the compressor housing on the N3G1 turbos .

People often drill out the restriction when fitting a boost controller with the later turbos.

do you mean the vac nipple on the actuator? i don't remember there being a nipple on the compressor housing itself... or am i confusing nipples

Nope, I mean the nipples on the compressor housing where you hook up the pipes that go to the actuators.
