New to the forum put located in Ireland, I'm looking to get my RX7 mapped for Irish fuel, 95 RON.

The car was previously mapped by Pip in WGT when it was open, I know he's working on his own now so he can sort the map he's also the closest to me off the ferry only a couple of hours but wanted to ask here does anyone recommend anyone else? I know RotorTorque are highly rated here, almost 6 hour journey off the boat but don't mind travelling for the right map, cheers

Have a look and see what the costs are to get Stu and Jay across to Ireland providing they are game for that. Ryan air flights are peanuts and just buy them a night in a hotel and it could be a cost effective way of getting a proper map and a night on the Guinness for the lads. Got to be a better option than a 6 hour drive in a fd !!

Just an idea??

Next nearest place is rotary revs in Leeds

Yep thanks for the recommendation I'll check them out just want to see the options that people recommend here!

That's not a bad idea actually I'll give them a message and see is it an option be much easier for me if that could be done alright!!

I've had a map at Revs.

Not to say don't go rotortorque because they are very good, but that's a one hell of a road trip.

I have a map from revs on my car. I was impressed by the latest kit in the dyno room, the air flow they had can actually generate gale force winds.

What put my mind at rest was before they started they checked the car over and then they attached knock sensors on the engine and then mapped it exactly how I wanted it (I wanted progressive boost cos I do B roads a lot)

They are number one for 1000hp+ forced induction ford mustangs these days.

Up to you if you want to save two days of driving lol

Good idea @Jit cheers, I'll ask around or post it in the Irish rotary group.

Also until such time I get the car mapped for 95 RON is it OK to run it with 95 RON fuel and a small bit of octane booster (NF Race). NF seems to be only booster that boosts it 4 or 5 full points, I used it in my R35 previously with good results on the dyno, I know it's not a long term solution but just to keep it reliable for a couple of weeks, chances are it'll only have 1 or 2 tanks of fuel through it in thst period anyway

I'm doing the nc500 later this year, and I'm planning on running mine with a bit of NF. They don't have super up there either.

Perfect thanks, NC500 is a great trip done it a couple years back in my M5 Touring at the time brought all the camping gear and the dog.

I haven't ever been to the Highlands. I hope my rx7 is gonna be good up there. We're going to be glamping and using hotels. We're all getting a bit too old for camping..

So you have had an r35 and an m5 touring. Damn son. Baller.

What's your fd like?

RX7 should be fine up there some roads are narrow enough but the vast majority of them have good surface!

R35 and M5 are gone now unfortunately, just have my FD and Supra left. FD is a grey Spirit R
