With a trip to the Ring looming up next month (read Autobahn antics) its got me worried about the headlight covers flying off! So is there a way to help secure them in place? Any tips?

Mine were broken so I fibreglassed some new mount points in!
It's been a while since they've been off but...... you could tie some string around the headlight frame while the cover is off, then attach the string across the underside of the cover, then lay a patch of fibreglass on top of the string? If it flips off then there's a good chance it won't go up in the air! If you make the string short enough it won't bop your fresh paint! Lol. Just my 2 penneth! ! Bit yeehaw but the best I could think of fresh off the top of my head!

Painter's tape over the shut lines before the Autobahn stretch?

This is obviously not going to help if you need to use the lights.

Have tou got the grippy jagged teeth washers? Or just the screws?

Not sure, the car is back with Craig so can't check. What are your thoughts?

At Craig's, as in TGS? I need to pop down to Craig's on Thursday so will have a look to see if they are on the light covers.

No, Craig as in DynoTorque.

ah, ok. These are the things. Washer
and spikey washer to grip the plastic of the lamp cover
