I broke it quickly...And repeatedly...Chaste White Rebuild

I only ask because I have an aem flow sensor on mine, but it gives out a variable frequency output signal, and syvecs won't let you have a frequency input on a custom input. So I have had to assign it as flex fuel sensor and then build custom warnings from that- if it is as simple as a single pressure sensor then I might consider changing it!

Rolling around on my driveway under the car yesterday has not done wonders for my ageing back but a big step in the right direction.

The manifold is fully fitted with correct length studs, turbo, down pipe and wastegate all on too. The wastegate is a tight squeeze but just about fits.

First time fitting new 02 NTK sensor and EGT probes all connected back into loom.

Also filled oil for the first time. 👍

Had some issues connected to PDU, dash and ECU. Turns out it was my modern work laptop not liking using a Ethernet to USB adapter but my 10year old MAC running windows worked just fine so pleased to have all of those connections sorted ready for calibration/tuning.

I painted my pulleys and rad bracket satin black as doing away with all of the blue.

Next up I had no front lights or wipers - turned out these were unplugged from the fuse box, must have been the bodyshop guys. All working now.

to do:
Buy and fit catch can and lines (AN10).
Plumb in boost solenoids/ MAC valves.
Fit coolant pressure sensor.
add coolant
Fit Motec Key pad.
Fan loom from Matt
Coil earth
Fit alternator + terminal cover
Throttle body boost hose
2x M8 bungs for boost hose

This won’t be far off the finished article though a black turbo inlet joiner instead of blue.

Can you please get a new air filter? Everything else looks spotless 😂 glad to see you’re cracking on!

I put the boot plastics and carpet back in this evening and despite it not being perfect I’m actually pretty pleased how it’s turned out. You’d never know there is a 9 litre water/meth tank, PDU and battery in there.

This is how it used to look.

That’s pretty bloody good going mate, if needs be you could always ad stilts on the boot board and have it totally flat

A few more jobs sorted today and one or two small hurdles.

First up the catch can arrived from Tom along with lines and fittings for boost controllers. Radium stuff is awesome and will hopefully have this mounted over the weekend.

Fitted the centre console with a small bit of hacksawing underneath. I’m pretty happy with how the cockpit is turning out. Less clutter than a million gauges and yet still very functional.

I started about doing the MAC valves lines but unfortunately one of the MAC valves is broken so had to order new and Tom accidentally sent the incorrect fittings but correct ones in the post.

So decided to fit the water/meth lines as I have some time booked with the tuner Monday to start testing all systems. Not to everyone’s taste (especially the OE brigade) I know but to me the looks cool as fuck.

The two spare ports will run to the boost hose between intercooler and throttle body.

Amended leads are on their way too so hopefully that’s all sorted too.

So impressed with radium engineering, the price always seems fair for the level of quality you get! The catch can looks to be just what you need!
It’s a good thing you’ve got the downpipe heatproofed with those water inj pipes! 😂 it’s so pleasing how neat everything is!

Can you please hurry up can’t wait to see what it can do! 😂😂

The amended ignition leads turned up from Magnecore yesterday and fit well so happy with that.

I’ve completed 75% of the boost control set up. The tuner uses two MAC valves to control top and bottom of gate but unfortunately one of my MAC valves is broken so a new one is on order. Be here this week hopefully.

This is how they are set up - need to add a few bungs to boost hose for the MAC valves to fit into.

As I’m going to be running a 90% mix of meth I bought some decent measuring beakers. It’s an 8.2 litre tank so better to have some decent containers etc for filling, testing and emptying.

Catch can fitted too, just need to buy some lines and fittings for this now, looks neat and tidy.

The water fitting that had been leaking has been drilled and tapped to M12, I just need to go and buy a grub screw/bolt tomorrow and pray that it seals it ok.

With any luck first start this week.

Are you measuring by weight or volume?

I'm still planning on running just the 50/50 mix for the time being and need to start mixing my own potions. I've heard different things as it goes lol!

Volume.

I am not listening to others anymore. The internet is full of clowns.

Fairplay, just to confirm 9l of meth and 1l distilled to make the a 90/10 wmi mix? or 5l of meth and water to make a 50/50 wmi mix.

Did you go for the 76/85 turbo spec or something different?
