Hi guys I’m looking to overhaul my box as 5th gear crunches and 2nd is not great. Where’s the best place to buy parts from?

SignUp Now!Corby are pretty good but it always helps if you have part numbersNext year it’s having launch control and I don’t see the point spending a couple of grand swapping boxes if it’ll cost me a couple hundred quid to change bearings/synchros.
I was struggling to find the parts for it online but didn’t think about trying mazda themselves as every time I’ve wanted parts they have been useless
Tbh even though it’s local I’ve never been there. I’ll give them a visit next weekCorby are pretty good but it always helps if you have part numbers
Nice one cheersI've split out the part numbers for the gearbox from the 94 part listings. Hopefully it helps !
@Ceylon isn't it true the synchros in the 99+ cars and RX-8 192 box are improved and interchangable?
How about the gears? I may buy the synchros and some new gears/bearings and then buy a beefed up main shaft from Liberty or OS Giken.Err, use Amayama or give Mazda the part numbers. There are many EPC's available online to look them up.
Just looked these up for you to check prices on Amayama, doesn't seem too bad.
5th gear synco - £13.20 - W50117725C
2nd gear syncro - £42.46 - R5051726Y
1st gear syncro - £19.78 - R51417265B
3rd gear synco - £64.31 - R5061726Y
4th gear synco - £13.96 - M50217265C
Reverse gear - £13.36 - R50317265B
£167.07 for a full set of syncros (Plus postage and duty obviously).
It's always best if you look up the part numbers and either email Mazda UK with a list or use a service like Amayama.
Thanks for the help guys. One last thing, looking through the parts pages it doesn’t say 5th gear, i found a gear called gear, over top is it that?
