Front bumper fitment

Afternoon good people

Can anyone guide me on the fitment on how the bumper sits or should sit in relation to the front edge of the bonnet? just pulled mine out of storage to offer up while in rebuild, but when bolted up, it looks to sit higher than the bonnet in the centre but lower than the bonnet at the edges where they meet the headlamp covers so unsure if the edge of the bumper is out of shape around the bracket area or if the bracket is slightly bent/mis-shaped and causing an issue. I have a feeling that the edges were down slightly before I took it off last year but I don't remember it sitting so bad, even the gapping looks wrong. Granted its bordering on 30yo and some distortion might have occurred over the years but not sure if they should sit flush all the way across, bumper slightly higher than the bonnet edge, or if its sat right and I'm looking at something thinking its wrong?

Checked the manuals to see if there is any guidance on fitment for the bumper but nothing on guidance for the bumpers other than how to remove/refit,

Any help, info or images of how your own sits would be much appreciated. Bumper is the early spec one (y)

Yeah they're known for going out of shape, could try bend the ally brackets to bring it into shape a bit! Or maybe use ropes, tie them flat down the bonnet and onto the subframe but you may need a bit of warm weather and maybe a month of it to let it reshape 🤷‍♂️ just a thought
