Elbow room (lack of)

One thing I noticed with my FD is that I feel a little claustrophobic.

I'm not particularly tall and I'm finding that I need my seat pretty far forward to reach the pedals, but this then puts the steering wheel closer to me than I'd like. What this means is that I have to feed the wheel when going around roundabouts as my elbow hits the bolster.

If I tilt the seat back any further I will be laying down.

Any other shortasses noticed this and have any solutions?

Stock leather seats BTW.

What steering wheel do you have currently?
Only real option, is a really slim boss, and flat profile wheel really.
Maybe change the door cards to simple flat panels and you may have more room to flair your elbows.

I'm 5'4" and don't have any issues, in fact if say I fit perfectly. I have the seat quite far reclined as it fits the arch of your back better I find.

How tall are you then 3 foot dwarf with extra long arms?

But you wear work boots with like 4" heels when you drive dude. Even on a circuit. That makes your legs longer in the seat.

Do you have a quick release installed? If so, remove it. Connect the wheel to a standard hub or Momo hub or whatever.

Give over more like 1 inch max. And I wear them in bed not just driving.

I'm convinced this guy has legs well out proportion to his arms at 3'7"

I have the nardi style wheel like the mx5 one.

I'm 5'7", broader than most people my height I guess. 32" length trousers.

What's your chest size then? I'm pretty broad with a 42" chest might be 44 actually

I'm just struggling to see how you have this problem. Take a video?

How long are your arms?

32 inch leg, so that's a regular right? I get small which I thing is 30 inches and sometimes they are too long.

So you've not got short legs it must be your arms?

5 7 with 32” long legs is out of proportion man!!

Maybe 52” long arms by the sounds of it

Get some de Walt boots like joe and blue driving t shirts 👍🏻😂

Will a aftermarket seat with a front bolster help? Maybe a different size wheel/ width.
