Evening Gentlemen,

I was hoping to create a sticky where we can post accurate Dragy GPS verified acceleration data for 60 - 100 mph, 60 - 130 mph and 100 - 200 kph. In theory making it easier for fellow RX7 owners to check and verify their dyno numbers against similar builds and see real world acceleration which can be directly comparable against newer and more modern machines or similar RX7 builds.

Also when I say Dragy GPS I dont mean 1/4 times from the drag strip....many people seem to confuse Dragy GPS with a 1/4 mile drag strip. I mean this which is the same as a vbox without the major inconvenience.

OEM BASELINE - 2002 OEM SPIRIT TYPE R (data from this test with detailed performance review, speed vs rpm and accelerations chart)
60 - 100 mph - 7.60s
60 - 130 mph - 18.60s
100 - 200 kph - 15.30s

Standard format to post results
Engine - details of your engine, stock/street port/bridgeport/ semi pp - max rpm it can safely rev to.
Turbo - make, model and size a/r etc..
Power - Bhp at flywheel and at the wheels if possible
Boost - for eg 1 bar
WMI - Yes/No
Torque - lb ft or nm
Weather conditions - Wet/dry/damp etc..
Gearbox - Oem 5 speed manual/ seq / dct etc...
Final drive - 4.10, 4.30, 4.44. 4.77 etc..
Wheels and Tyres - make and model of the wheels and tyres and the size front and rear.
Diff - oem / 1.5 way / 2 way with make and model.

Start off with your dyno charts if you have one.
Than post your verified/valid Dragy GPS acceleration data for 60 - 100 mph, the most popular 100 - 200 kph and 60 - 130 mph.

ooohh i didnt know you had already made a thread. :D
Yh i did a while ago. Need to post more data with the new G35-1050.

Be good to have real dragy data like 60-100mph for street rx7s, 60-130mph and 100-200kph so we have have a good baseline of what power correlates to performance etc etc. Not many owners have a dragy gps. Hopefully it will catch on...and we will have more data and more results to share.

I definitely think I'll get one after mapping and seeing these posts.

I'm going to revive this quiet dragy thread... Got my hands on a dragy (and vbox), and once the weather is ok will post some times. But I think 100-200 times are a bit fast for me unless I can get a really long private road. Maybe I have to hire out Turweston for an hour or two. I'm going to go off script if thats ok with some lower speeds and get the following:

0-60mph
30-70mph
60-100mph

Is that ok? I don't want to derail the idea of the thread.

Will post up some results when mine is back on the road this year. I didn’t manage any 100-200kph last year but managed a few 60-100mph.

This was around 18psi on half bridge, HX50. Going to guess 550ish hp.

Got loads of dragys runs now over 250+, some are on my thread.

Best 100-200 at 17 psi - 6.58s. Granny shift (nursing the box)

14.5 psi at 6.95s. Granny shift (nursing the box)

Went out a few days ago in the dry but noticed a tonne of salt on the road. Tested foot flat in 2nd and almost died as the back snapped out 30* instantly. No grip out on the mexican roads i test at the moment. Will leave it a bit longer as dont fancy testing in current conditions.

Yeah struggling with getting traction in these conditions even in my relatively street build, either its too cold and wet, or they dump salt on the roads! Got absolutely done by a salt truck spray the other day, time to buy another touch up pen...
