I'm looking to make some changes to the differential on my 92 JDM FD, however have some questions first.

I plan to purchase all necessary parts and take the differential to a specialist shop to get sorted properly.

I'd appreciate any advice some of you may have to confirm part numbers/what's needed.

Goal is to install a 4.44 ring and pinion in the stock case, along with a new kaaz 1.5 way diff.

So far my parts list (excluding the kaaz unit itself) is;
- Side oil seal x2 (P04327238A)
- Pinion seal (what is the correct part number? I see 2 different listed on jap sites, does the 95+ supercede the earlier one? Or are they different? Is there a more common mx5/rx8 one that can be used?
- Pinion lock nut (0223-27-030 - is this the correct p/n?)
- RX8 ring and pinion (is there a specific RX8 model to source from?)

Any other parts a shop will need that they won't have readily available?

Thanks in advance 🙏

I'm going a similar route, not very far into it yet, I have rx8 diff lying about somewhere, and as car is appart I might as well change the crown wheel and pinion.
I believe that there is an old and new part number for the pinion seal, the later number is also used to the rx8 diff, looks to be interchangeable, but I'm not 100% sure.
You will need shims/spacers to align the crown wheel for backlash, and the spacer tube for the pinion end, to get correct strike pattern/meshing between the crown wheel and pinion gears.
