Going to be doing a few bits over this winter to tidy up the underside.

What are people using as protection these days?

Anyone used Lanoguard?

Recommendations please

Been looking at Lanoguard for a while just not had time to apply it but i think it's a good option

I looked at lanoguard, but I'm pretty sure you have to reapply it every year. I'm going for fully strip, epoxy primer and something like Raptor black, then Dinitrol 1000 cavity wax, but my car is stripped toi a bare shell

Yeh luckily mine doesnt need that level of work.

Im looking at a basic scrub back/clean and then apply.

Cavity wax is a good call though

It can depend on the use, for me i do 2,000 miles a year tops and the car is garaged so probably every 2 or 3 years but the way i look at it is anything is better than nothing

I use lanoguard. Its good stuff, for me.

Personal preference and ability. But I prefer it over doing hard coats that water and moisture can get behind without you knowing. I like to avoid doing the coilover threads as it gums up pretty good. Instead i use silicone spray (maxima SC-1) after washing every few washes when the wheels come off for a good scrub. Everything looks like new under there.

My 7 is fully Dinitrol'd and looks fantastic undearneath (but doesn't go out in the winter)

I've just used Lanoguard on my Mini as that will be my winter transport. Wasn't a hassle to be honest, wire brush and jet wash, let it dry. Then just sprayed the poop out of the underside and arches, has dried pretty well. Over the coming years I think you can just reapply over the top.
