So just to close this thread, all wheels back on now and car put away again for the rest of the shit weather. All in all took around 7-10 days to fully recover my sills. All straightened out with a couple of small repairs done. Everything treated with Kurust then Tectyl ML which is an Amber coloured cavity wax sprayed into literally everywhere. Following this all the 20mm grommets replaced and covered with an epoxy based tectyl body wax throughout. With it in the air i cleaned up the calipers and coilovers and coated threads in silicon spray.

Everything looks so much better so give it a good wash ready to make bail in late march.
