Briggsy's TCP Magic Track Project

Cheers mate!
Those are similar to what I got recommended initially so will stick around those specs when I do sort my wheels.

Is your kit also +65mm front and rear?

The ones I was contemplating where 100% too big and I think I knew that beforehand, just wanted someone to tell me they would fit as it would have been different and a bit unique 😂
So my kit is +65mm rear and +35mm front
ive just had a look at mine and with those wheels i am running 15mm spacers on both the front and rear and I may go a little bit bigger than that on the rear. Front looks about right but again I haven't got any engine bits in there for the weight.

So it is now finally back down on all 4 wheels and no longer reliant on jack stands 😂

Isn't 100% complete underneath but it doesn't need to be as it is only rolling a few meters on to a trailer and then the same again in to the bodyshop, where it'll all get ripped off so the underside can get blasted etc.

Have a few goodies I'm waiting on from Japan, which I am hoping arrive in time for the bodyshop to fit, as it would make sense while they are re-doing everything else. So annoying everything I want has 100+ day lead times. I did order some CraftSquare wing mirrors with an ETA of December 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Cannot wait to see this thing transform over the next few months!!
A lot of major work happening but will 100% be worth it.

I was hoping to also get some additional carbon TCP bits to get fitted while it's in the bodyshop but I have been told a realistic lead time for those is 1 year.... So I held off on those for now as the can get added at a later date.

Looking good mate. I’m looking at ordering some carbon TCP bits for mine also. Where are you ordering from?
What’s the goodies? Exciting times!

You getting the V3 parts? That's what I am after but lead times are crazy! Was going to order through Jonny again but not sure he really deals with them too much now, so I'm not sure? Could do a joint order depending when you order, if you want?

So I have some CSG front bumper lights on the way as they have free shipping at the minute on eligible parts. The carbon RE-Amemiya bonnet gurneys for around the vents and then some Ready Go Next carbon vents to get smoothed in to the bonnet (like this)

Mine would be like the red one with a solid colour bonnet then the carbon additions.

And then have the CraftSquare mirrors that are due to arrive around Christmas time 😂

Only other "big" item I need to figure out/order is the rear diffuser.

Ah yeah I have seen CSG have free shipping at the moment and I was going to utilise this and order my TCP bits from them as well as some other bits I want. I’m going to get the carbon side skirt add ons and rear canards as well as the carbon front floor.
Which version CSG side lights you go for? I actually have some CSG carbon vents that I don’t think I’m going to use …….

Sounds decent. I think I want the front and rear arch vent bits and possibly the front upper canards. So basically the V3 kit minus the gurney for the top of the front arch bit that is flat.
I got the LED Front Combination Lamps Ver.3(Attack Light) but tbh I looked at all the different versions and watched their videos and I am not 100% sure on what the differences are, but they look decent from the images with the lights on so I'll happy anyway :ROFLMAO:

So the car is in its new temporary home, about to get a lot of work done and get this thing looking how it should have been a while ago!

One thing we noticed earlier and I said I would ask on here, I assume this is not how my tail lights should fit (the large gap between the boot lid and the light units) does anyone know what the issue here could be? They are just standard early spec lights if that makes any difference.

Is the light located in the slide in clips? Or are the clips even there.
What i will say is it.fits.better than mine on the n/s

I'll have to ask him to check, I will guess that could probably be the reason as I am pretty sure they fit fine previously.

He was just a bit worried if that was the actual panel gap as he would need to do some decent work to get them to match everything else 😂

I had broken parts on both sides, the retaining pin things and on the tail light. Once the c west bunper was replaced with oem and new parts fitted, i found rear quarter is completely out of place, can't even fit the light on one side. Plus its out to the bumper and all measurements to fixed points are off.
You do have a bit of adjustment in the 2 screws on the top, and to be fair it doesn't look that far out, what is the fitment like to the wing?

Some updates showing the work from the body shop so far. They are working on getting all panel gaps perfect and getting the rest of the kit ready for paint, just tweaking the work from the previous body shop to make everything as good as possible.

Also took the flat floor out the boot and replaced it with a new one. This is now one piece rather than 4 pieces welded together, and will have some bead rolling added soon. Fits so much better and should look way better when it is finished and painted.

And here is the work from the front end. Mainly the two front wings, but they have cut the mounting for the front bumper which sits on the slam panel to bring the fitment up to make a better body line between the bonnet and the bumper.

Dropped some extra bits off with the guys last week too and have some more on the way/awaiting collection, so in the next month when this is painted, it should be looking pretty epic!! Will still have a silly ride height and tiny wheels for now though, unfortunately.

Little bit more progress, got the Ready Go Next carbon vents cut in to the bonnet. These will be blended in, as will the RE-A gurneys so there will be no rivets visible and just make it a smoother, nicer finish.

My lexan windows are also ready for collection now, so in a couple weeks I will grab them and drop them off. Then it won't be much longer until she is ready to be collected!

Here are the latest photos I have of the car, all the front end is basically done in terms of panel gaps etc.

Rear end has had a tonne of additional work done as the rear arches and side skirts came back off the car and refitted. This was because they hadn't been bonded on correctly last time and had already started cracking around the edges, so they are now back on properly now.

Added a few more months on to the bodyshop now though as it took a long time fixing all the bad work from last time (story of my life with this build!!)

Some mad things too, like the roof had around 10mm of filler in some places to try and fill the dip that the standard roof has, but that also went back to bare metal and has been redone.

Fingers crossed for no more issues, and it'll be in paint and it'll have some pretty cool, unique bits added too to make this start looking how it deserves!

DC Customs Build Video

I have just chucked this link in for you guys to be able to see some of the work that's been going on while it's been in the bodyshop.

A lot of time taken fixing rubbish work from past shops etc but now all should be rectified and hopefully no more issues 🤞

I will be getting some photos soon of the new flat floors and boot floor so will update in here when I have them.

Here it is, all ready to go in to primer this week.
To say I'm excited to see this out the bodyshop is an understatement, especially after all the additional bits that were discovered and had to be fixed.

Just to decide on the final colour for this, but it is proving so difficult to make that decision!

And here is the body back in primer (again) but this time miles better than last time!!

Interior will be in primer today and then I think we will be waiting until after Xmas to get it in paint, and focus on some custom door cards and bits & bobs like that so I can confirm the colour and they can focus on other projects in the mean time.
