Brake pads for type rs

[rob fd]

Hi quick question. Does the type rs with the larger discs use the same brake pads as the smaller disc variant? Or do you need to order rs specific ones?

Cheers

[Jit]

Yes, same pads

What pads do people use to good effect? Don't want any squealing etc. Also where is best to buy them?

Cheers

I'd recommend the Project Mu HC+ pads, got them from RHD japan: https://www.rhdjapan.com/project-mu-brake-pads-full-set-type-hc-fd3s.html

Thanks, I'll give them a try. What are RHD Japan like to deal with? Are they reliable? Reasonable delivery times? Never used them before.

That all depends on if they have the items in stock, quick if they do... sometimes painfully slow if they do not.

Also account for import tax, tends to be pretty variable. I haven't yet worked out any particular logic to it

[rob fd]

Probably worth emailing them first to confirm stock before ordering then

Are the brake pads the same on all fd's from 1993 onwards?

[XPT]

yeah, the pads are the same regardless of year or spec
