Reads 01.5 on a-b and nothing at all on a-tSo what do you get if you turn it down? Just keep lowering it until you get a reading higher than 0.
Nothing at all like not even fluctuaton , as if i hadnt even touched it.Nothing at all being 0 or no reading showing no continuity? Haha.
What setting was it on to get 01.5?
Nothing at all like not even fluctuaton , as if i hadnt even touched it.
Setting is on the 200 straight down to get that 01.5
So if both trailing are above 1 they need replacing ?Ok so that's correct for the A - T reading, you want it to have no continuity.
For A - B on 200 you'd want less than 1 so it's above the specified resistance being 1.5. Sometimes if you leave it hooked up a few seconds they drop a bit.
Yes they are out of Mazda's acceptable spec if above 1 ohm.So if both trailing are above 1 they need replacing ?
As ive tested them both on ab and they are both higher
Thankyou for your helpYes they are out of Mazda's acceptable spec if above 1 ohm.
Thanks for the offer but il hopefully just buy a new set and bang them on, to be fair i expect these have been on there since new so could do with replacingNo probs. want to borrow my spare set to test as you're local?
Not from the UK but amayama sell them for about £180 each. If you are able to wait for them, they should come out cheaper even after shipping and any duty you get stung by.Mazda want £327 each for coils, anyone know anywhere in the uk that sells these cheaper.
I know Atkins rotary sells then for $183 eac

Talking like you know all about direct fire nowI’d stay with stock coils if you’re on twins and don’t have a good place to relocate AEMs. The stock coils are stout when in good shape and they can take heat. The AEMs don’t take heat well and apparently don’t last all that long when run in wasted spark like the stock ignition setup. I know people get away with it but if you go AEM hook them up for direct fire, but then the Apexi Power FC doesn’t work.
