I also have an engine that I bought a while back that I have ready to throw into this chassis. Its a half bridge port, with a garage reg stud kit, turboblown extended cast manifold, BorgWarner EFR 9174 turbo, full function fuel rails with ID1750cc primarys and ID2200 secondarys. Will be sending the engine to GarageReg when I finally have everything back together and ready for first start to open her up and make sure it is in good condition to make 600hp and maybe get a few extra's. I still need to get an ECU thinking of going complete stand alone and wiring a PMU in to control the lights and other basics. Thinking of using a Link ecu not 100% sure which one yet but need to do some more research/talk to some people.

As for the chassis need to install my Yellow speed coilovers for the mean time ideally want to get a set of ohlins. Put on the fuel tank, CSG v4 lights I got laying about. I also have a RE amemiya front bumper which I was going to use so might test fit it with the rest of the kit to see which I like better. Anyway this is what I got now and hope to show you the rest of the progress with this build :)
Cheers Olly

End goal: 600hp Time attack car/street monster

Gonna be a nice build this! Was this bens FD? The shell and carbon interior bits look familiar 🤷🏻‍♂️

Well my first chassis I got has finally gone and off with their new owner.

Finally made an engine stand tool so I got my engine on a stand and able to start prepping the the engine for lines and sensor, also pulled the old wiring harness out to start mocking up the new one by taking measurements.

Lastly slapped the RE front end on to see what it looks like, definitely needs a lot of work to make it fit properly but I do really like it.
Next few jobs on the list are:
- Re sealing my front brakes and painting them up
- Finding some seats so if anyone has some bucket seats laying about give me a PM
- Mocking up a relay and fuse box
- Sorting out my fuel tank and piping that all up
- Mocking up/designing new engine harness

Yeah does look well odd, wheels will be one of the last things I get for the car

Going to go for a mix or re amemiya and kazama with a touch of tcp magic

Who made your door cards buddy? I may want a pair for my own car.

If I am correct they are RASTYT japan door cards, discontinued like most stuff on this car as Ben built it 13 years ago

Big update:

So after the past several months working stupid hours and getting rid of my old daily to get a cheaper one I have been able to get a load of parts I need still got a lot to do but hoping I can get it all sorted.
Cltuch - Exedy twin plate
Ecu + a few sensors - Link Fury g4X and bunch of link sensors
Oil coolers, thermo + fittings - Mocal 19row heavy duty coolers and mocal thermostat, advocult fittings
Got a front mount inter cooler just for the mean time will eventually go Vmount and a raditor
Got the tools I need to make new brake lines and new braided lines to the calipers
Resealed the front calipers and given them a quick lick of paint again eventually BBK will be put onto the car
Removed the Old fuel system due to saftey concerns and to update it a bit I have ordered the Radium intank surge tank with 2 Ti 450lph pumps. If anyone is interested in the old setup and wants it just give me a message on here or insta @Gem_fd3s or @geminaiy (personal) It is a sard 280lph lift pump then two Bosch 044 pumps feeding each rail out of the swirl pot/surge tank, hardlines through the spare wheel tub and to pumps.
Got my dream wheels with caps, just looking at what sort of tyres I can fit, think 285/35R18s R and then 265 on the front but going to get some zestino semis to check sizing's ect. Need to get them centre bored out as well as they are R34 size at 66.1mm and I need 67.1mm.
Bunch of photos of the parts and bits:

Need to get the seats mounted and then work on the wiring harness for the engine still waiting for loom A to come in then I can order the rest of the sensors and start work on that, got a rough wiring setup on sheets of what goes where. Then I need to start on the chassis harness which will be a challange.

Map is an an volt normally
And I couldn't figure out how the get speedo out from the link. But that's also a digital input, speed sensor
Other than that looks good buddy 👍

Thanks @JoeLanger yeah realised digital is either an on or off signal type, still learning all the electrical stuff, going to buy that HPA eletrical course as heard its really good

Got some tyres 285/35R18's they fit perfect in the back but the fronts clip the fender going into RH lock so ordered some 265/35's to go up front hopefully the stretch isn't too much for 10.5 wheels

Update:
Good bits
- Finally got the car in a decent sized workshop, for the next 3 months so going to make the most of it and smash out as much as I can.
- Got the oil coolers mounted just waiting on 2 fittings to have them fully plumbed up
- Radium intank surge tank fitted, just got to wire it up, walbro 450lph lift and 2 main pumps.
- Got a lincoln mig welder and a Jasic Tig ac/dc so time to start learning to weld to make all the bits I need.
- Made a start on the chassis harness and engine harness

Bad bits
- Mounted the seat and head hits the roll cage bar
- Had a scuttineer look over the roll cage and it has to go, all 6 mounting points to the chassis are't good enough and not safe at all.

So with that in mind going to chop the cage out in the next week or so, going to order the last couple bits for the harnesses and get that done.

Its quite difficult hence why the whole cage is coming out to be replaced with a much safer cage which will have rally type door bars so easy to get in and out

So pretty productive day got the engine harness all mapped out and cut to length now I just need some crimping bits to make some more sensor grds and +5v wires then good to heat shrink up need to get some of the adhesive heat shrink and anyone got recommendations for boots for injectors or just use SCL or similar heatshrink to seal the connector?

Update, old cage removed due to not complieing with current FIA spec and my head hitting the halo bar so have got a new cage fitted, MustWeldMotorsport has smashed it out the park with this new cage. Removed the riv nuts for the gearbox mounts and one of the dif mounts and welded in fresh nuts. Straighened out the floor pans as they weren't that straigh. Straighted the sills out best I can, early Jan taking to a mates garage and using a portapuller to pull them out to straight as parts are quite dented. Engine is off to be checked over, installed a slam panel as the front end of this has been in a bash before as OS headlight bracket isn't attatched and a support panel is bent but getting this as straight as I can. Got a "Planted Technologies" seat base as they comply with FIA rules but one of the tabs doesnt line up and its an inch too high. Built a roll over jig, sadly my measurements were off and the edge of the rear wheel arch touches the floor so will need to raise that a couple inch's. Then finish stripping the underside, rust converter and full epoxy primer, seam sealer, stone chip and then paint. Get the subframes powder coated, had a few parts vapour blasted, so want to get it as fresh as possible.

Well, sorry for no updates, life, got my own house now, tow rig and trailer, but slowly been making progress on the car. Completely rust treated the underside, repaired the sills as best as I could and sealed it all properly with instructions from Steve at SR Autobodies (if you're into skylines you'll know his serious skills). Rust converter in areas of rust, zinc phosphate primer, seam sealer, stone chip then top it off with ceramic paint. Cage, interior and engine bay painted finally, tried painting it myself and within 4 weeks rust was coming through the primer I lay down so just bare metalled it myself and sent to a local paint shop, its ok, be alright for a racecar. Engine, gear box dif and braces are all back and fitted along with the fresh powder coated subframes and zinced hardware. Starting a new job again soon so finnally have some funds to sink into the car again. Also gave the whole car a serious polish and thankfully I haven't killed the clear coat and its still as good as it was when I got the car.

So hopefully end of this year I could maybe do first start but will seem
