Updates!
Got my CAN bus set up and working:
Link G4+ -> ECU Masters CAN EGT -> Link CAN Lambda -> CANchecked MFD15
This takes a lot of fucking about and I'll attempt to write it up. The ECU Masters CAN EGT is a good little tool, it's only £130-ish and 8 channel so much more powerful and affordable than Link's own one. You can then use any K-type TC you want. What's really handy about this is that if you have two EGT channels you now have six extra channels to use for coolant, oil and air temperature. Go mad and log your turbo CHRA internal temp. Measure your arse temperature in the seat.
For the CAN EGT you will need to add a
Receive User Stream X on a free channel in PC Link's CAN setup
Set the ID to
1552 (channels 1-4, if you want channels 5-8 you'll need an extra stream with ID 1553)
Speed should be
1Mbps
Byte order is
little endian
In the streams tab hit
Load Stream and select your .lcs file

Perform a store and you're all set up for EGT.
The CAN Lambda is pretty easy, so won't go into that.
The MFD15 provides your terminating resistor so needs to sit at the end of your bus. In PC Link's CAN settings:
Select
Generic Dash 2. There are two generic dash streams, only the second one will work
Set the ID to
2000
Connect to the MFD15 following CANchecked's instructions and make sure that all the settings match PC Link, set the CAN Term to active.
I'm still messing around with getting the EGTs to display on the MFD15. There are two ways to do this; create a transmit stream from the G4+ to the MFD15 or modify the MFD's .tri file to read the stream broadcast from the ECU Masters module.

This is based on my config and will overwrite all of your settings, it's also still being tested so be warned!
