The first Quote was by body tone. Moss end, just outside Windsor.

I spoke to Chris after i got the original quote, expecting him to be more expensive. In fact he's come in quite a bit cheaper.

So instead of saving money, i'm spending the difference on more RX things. Clutch, flywheel, engine mounts, mani off, new sensors, comp test, turbo function check, coils check.....etc

Not really sure why they'd need to remove the glass from the doors? Unless it's really rusty and requires repair that's not possible with the glass in?
Once you strip all of the panelling and trim back from the doors you can see where (from the factory) there are areas that are always painted black, regardless of the vehicle colour. These provide a good place mask over that doesn't require the windows coming out?

Anyway sounds like you made a decent decision taking it to Chris, I've always had a good experience with Reworx

I think you'll find it refers to the front and rear glass, mainly. However, the side seal will want to come out

Strip it yourself, fully strip and spray is 100 hours plus dent mans cost. Do the most of the prep work yourself and get them to do any final touching up. Only thing I’d leave for them is front and rear screen.

youll need to remove all the door trims and if they are paint the inside of the doors I suppose it’llbe easier to undo a couple of bolts rather than mask itup
