So bolted in the new subframe and attached everything to it and it still clears the engine, yay
Steering arms are close to the anti roll bar so I’ll need to make some longer drop links
Need to extend the bmw shifter 100mm next
Not looking forward to wedding cast alloy

Made a tidy little bracket to use the fd throttle cable on the v8 And made a start on the loom, blown away with the amount of wiring guides and support for these engines.
Took all the wrapping off and made a start marking wires for the chop 23 from the ecu so far
Also got an absolute bargain on a pair of dmc afm8 crimpers, they run about £400 new but won them on eBay for £35!
Opens up the possibility of going full Milspec concentric twist loom but we will see

Smashed through the engine wiring this evening removed all un needed wires and plugs and this is the bare bones engine loom
Removed a whole lot but over the moon with it now traced all the unknown plugs and have all sensors accounted for

Ordered lots of little bits to aid wrapping this
Next headache will be intergrating the fd electronics

Did a bit more on the loom tonight
Turns out GM are cunts and the plugs have captive pins so they only come out the front which has ruined my plans going to have to get hold of some of the weatherpak pins

Thanks man, can’t really answer that cause I don’t know haha, the pmc kits really nicely made and the boxes are reasonably small and light and quite plenty full

Waiting on parts for the wiring harness at the mo so made a start on the next issue
Cause I’m using a bmw box I can’t use the Mazda ppf so I’ll be making a diff brace to keep the pinion angle right

You can buy these but they’re like £500 so I’ll be making one
I’ll be buying 40x2.5 cds tubing and making the brackets on the Cnc brake press at work so should be able to make one for about 60 in materials

Done some measuring and the underside is looking damn clean
Cars only been in the Uk just over a year and probably hasn’t seen a Uk winter yet so might need to under seal her

Stayed on after work today to extend the bmw shifter to reach the Mazda gearstick hole
100mm extension top and bottom

Shiny oil take off for the sump to feed the stock oil cooler

Extended the intermediate steering shaft this eve had to add 60mm to safely join the two uj’s together very happy I can steer the car again it’s been a right pain moving it with a disconnected steering wheel

Also let her see a bit of sunlight at the weekend while cleaning
