Need advice - window seals

Hi guys,

Need a bit of advice.

My car is missing the rear seal for the real window.

It looks scruffy as hell and is messing with my head :D

Anyway - a local company have said they can remove the window and fit a seal if I supply....I've looked and all I can find are ones costing almost £200......He suggested that they can supply a generic seal which they cut to size. He has said however that there may be a small gap visible over time.

Has anyone done this themselves? I cant imagine it looking more unsightly than a window without a seal altogether.

Thanks

The seal is approx £100 from Mazda U.K.
part number is FD01506G0B

yeah exactly - the universal seals by the roll will probably cost a fraction of that :( anyone used one of those universal ones?

didn't craig at topgear use a universal one on the back of his red car? or am I thinking of kermit? either way I remember it looking good.

Yea I did..do you mean the one that goes round the glass? It worked great. Cost me something like a tenner.

You have any of the old boot seal left? You can send it in and get one in the same profile. There's a company that just makes seals. Give them a try

I think you can get a universal which is to length and is seamless.
