Under bonnet heat protection

Hi guys,

My under bonnet heat shield/fluff stuff is disintegrating so had to pull it off,

I've just had the bonnet and other bits painted and I'm worrying the heat from the turbos and how close the bonnet is could burn the paint?

Do people bother with the aftermarket ally type ones or will I be ok without?

Be fine mate, I've not had it in years. some well heated track sessions have not resulted in any issues bonnet related.
