Damn dude. I spent months searching for a yellow FD and couldn’t find one I liked before giving up and buying my blue one. I don’t have the time, skills or patience to strip down and respray!

It looks incredible, I hope the rest of the build goes smoothly!

What shop did the paint? I’m not far from corby and looking for some paint and repair soon

Tbh it’s easier than you think to strip, I stripped out all the interior and had them do the inside but you don’t need to go that far, just do the outside and door shuts and you could prep it yourself like I did to save labour cost.

Only a minor update, Chris has sent me a picture of the engine which I think looks sweet. My turbo is here and just waiting to collect from a friend on the American base. Car is being flat and polished now and is looking sweet, a new windscreen should be here today.
Also decided to remove air suspension as I’ve changed what I want to do with the car now. So I’ve fitted some Tein flex z. Anybody got a show car that wants air ride?
question has anyone changed the aerial, I want a stubby one but can’t find a base.

Skirts on
Diffuser on (not finished)
Suspension sitting high so it can get on a trailer. But here she is. Unfortunately with the covid virus I think the car will be delayed.
Here she is anyway. Feel like I need a carbon bonnet.
btw it hasn’t been cleaned here but I’ve now cleaned all the glass and the inside

Drop me a note regarding the air suspension if still for sale

Afternoon guys, just another small update. Engine is now running, first power run 0.6 bar made 380hp at the fly. Waiting on the results for the higher boost run, think we are planning about 1 bar. Car is to go off Saturday and have engine fitted and and it’s final tune. As the car was sitting for about 5 years before I bought it And been sitting a year since I’ve had it I’m hoping everything works lol.

Just received some bad news. Engine has started loosing oil pressure. No leaks so now needs stripping and investigating. Absolutely gutted. Hopefully bearings are ok.

Front cover o ring is a good shout. I had a similar issue with pressure dropping with rpm, it ended up being the thermal pellet delete plug, replaced with a oem thermal pellet and problem solved.

I'm gonna guess it's something simple. So as long you didn't run the engine ages with low oil pressure you will be fine

No he said it was on the dyno, warmed up about to do the run and then noticed it started dropping pressure

Yeh man. Just get the front cover off, it's a ball ache but probably less of a ball ache then rebuilding the whole engine

More on the engine. Front bearing is done for and so is the eccentric shaft. He’s not entirely sure but even though the shaft was ok when it was balanced it may have been dropped in shipping which has caused it to be out of tolerance and he thinks that has caused the problem. New shaft and new bearings and cleaning out and it’s ready for the dyno. Hopefully about 2 weeks

That sucks, can you confirm/claim any kind of shipping charges, I sent an engine once via courier and had nothing but ag' over it so I feel your pain.

I have someone else rebuilding the engine and tuning. The shaft was sent off to be balanced and it was within tolerance when he sent it off, but isn’t now. Can’t prove what caused the issue so don’t see how I’ll be able to claim anything. We haven’t discussed the money side of it yet. Although I expect not to be charged all the extra labour and balancing of a new shaft but we will see
