So a while back i seen that new stock engines were for sale, are these still available and are they any good, as i have heard that they arent great. Are they worth buying and if so where could i buy 1 from? I just thought that a 30 year old engine would have more potential problems if trying to rebuild. Thanks

They’ve certainly gone up in price from why you hear

Think they were around £4.7k but someone said recently they are close to £7k

I’d try and rebuild if you can mate

Oh wow that really has jumped up in price! May just have to take mine out and send it away for rebuild then and hope it doesnt need so much.
i have still been on here reading through stuff from time to time but have never had the need to post.
I have just got Rexy all graphene coated and is looking sharp and then got a lovely workshop where i was driving too to keep Rexy out of the weather and then disaster struck and am on 1 rotor, checked spark and all there is good, but am hoping to get a compression test done just to be sure its down on 1, in 12-13 great years this has been my only issue really

I have an engine for sale.

I have an engine for sale.

I did see that, ideally i wanted a stock engine as the map wouldnt have to be altered

You can buy a crate engine for £5.7 from racing beat Europe, think it’s roughly £5.6 from Essex rotary, no idea through Mazda direct, there’s a guy selling on on Facebook for £5.5

I called Mazda last year, it was £4900 + VAT and available within 24hrs.

But then if you are like me you want it studded, ported, balanced with different apex seals which adds another £2-£3k
