Looking for Feedback on Super 7

Whilst tuning I was told that the engine wasn't from a FD and likely to have come from a bus (Google said only 44 of these buses ever existed so highly unlikely) and the ports must be tiny as they couldn't tune past 4k....

What the actual fuck!!! Is that even genuine. A rotary bus engine!!!!

Let me know how you get on with Pip as I'm also planning on speaking to them regarding my rebuild as soon as I have some monies
I dropped the car off to him on Saturday and all seems good, not the cheapest as others have said but I feel confident in him, he seems very knowledgeable and knows pretty much every garage/person in rx7s and mx5s (my background).

Turns out with my engine the front and rear castings are from a cosmo, the middle is from a 7 (but unsure if FD or FC until its clean) and it has 3 piece apex seals which apparently haven't been seen since the 90s. it did make good compression before it popped but he was surprised super7 hadn't spotted a cracked front or rear casting...

I now just need to wait to see if the rotors and housings are good for reuse once cleaned and if not it'll be a brand new core from mazda direct.

so no... not a bus engine at all...

Old thread, but I have a mixed review about Super 7.
The good: I bought a 99 spec fiberglass rep bumper from Jason and also paid for him/guys at his shop to paint and install it. I’m no expert, but the bodywork looks really good and I can’t tell the difference between my rep bumper and an OEM bumper. So as far as bodywork goes, Id recomend them.

The bad...:
First off, they are hardly flexible with time. They won’t stay a minute pas 530 even if you’re traveling over 2 hours to leave your car with them and you’re running 10-15 min late. I left my car at the shop (they didn’t want to wait the 10 extra minutes after 530 so I parked my car at the shop and left my keys in the mailbox) to have my bumper installed and painted and then left. A few days later, I called Jason and asked if he could do a “health check” of my car, basically looking it over. He told me it would be 2 hours of labor equaling £140. A week went by and I confirmed with him that I owed him £540 (£400 for install and paint of the bumper plus the £140 health check) and then he hit me with a bill of almost £900 saying that “oh my guy spent 2 hours trying to de flood the car so that’s gonna be another £140 of labor for them deflooding it, and we replaced your undertray for £40...it’ll be around £900 if you pay with card but if you pay cash I’ll only charge £720, also you’ll need a rebuild and that’ll be around £3000.”
I had a water seal failure and I told him I’ll drive my car back and get a rebuild later but he told me he didn’t feel comfortable with my driving MY OWN car and I basically told him to fuck off and that I’m getting my car back. All in all, I’d stay away from this place if you want your car in good hands. I went to Era @oldones and never looked back

Anyone bought the ad9 type bonnet he produces? It looks a good fit from pics I've seen.

Go elsewhere. Guys can't paint either if you actually care about what it looks like.

There are better shops around.
