Hi guys,

I’ve sheared the hard pipe brake line at the Caliper and I need to make/have a replacement made. I’ve seen a bunch of copper kits online and was wondering if anyone has any experience with doing it themselves or am I better off finding a pro to make a set for me?

Cheers

You can do it yourself, it's not too difficult for shorter lengths, although you'll need a flare tool.

Might be easier just to bring the pipe to a garage to make, if it's a one off. can be a ballache...

Haha I've not flared pipes for years! Still have a reel of pipe but not sure where my flare kit is! I used to cock them up all the time ? cheap and easy to do though!

I'm definitely going to get a kit. I'm sure it won't end at this job so I might as well start practicing now :)

Yep, these are really good. Done a few cars with mine, perfect flare every time. It works quite well in confined spaces with ratchet spanners too.
