GPS speedometer for mph - anyone use them?

Might be a daft question but my car as are most fd's read in Km, someone previous to me has put little stickers on the speedo for 30mph and 60mph which looks shit and I can't see them at night.

I've seen this on eBay which is interesting

Possibly could fit it in those steering wheel cowl gauge pods.

What's people's thoughts.

I've also seen ones for obd but fd's don't have obd.

You can convert it to mph.
You just have to move one little solenoid/resistor thing and manually adjust the speedo to match the correct speed.

No problem.
It’s pretty straight forward, I done mine myself with no issues.
The little resistor is very hard to get off initially though

The speed adjustment is a nightmare to get correct.
I settled on 29mph while reading 30 as it’s the closest I could get it while driving, plus less likely to be caught speeding.

Apparently it’s easier to get correct on a dyno as you can have the speedo out and adjust it while it’s sat at a constant speed. It’s also much safer that way

Couple axle stands and chock front wheels do the same job

I had it balanced in place and kept stopping to make adjustments as there aren’t many straight roads near me to adjust while moving.
It was very stressful due to the tiniest adjustment changing it too much, or in the wrong direction

That looks very deep, and think you might struggle getting that in the cluster. speedhut do slimline ones if that's what you want.

Sounds like you need a converter box rather than a new gauge, I've got a little kph to mph converter that is just spliced in the speed signal wire.
I wouldn't personally bother if I was you, if all you want is mph reading then there's two perfectly good methods in this thread!

What app do you use? I use mine sometimes as extra insurance when going through speed cameras ha, it only shows speed tho

That one (cool nicks), I've not tried any others so there could be better ones, I've also only used this one twice so far as I've not really been out properly in the car
