Anyone Wrapped their Door cards or Dash themselves?

I’m in Manchester every few months.

A meter of quality alcantara is £100-£130 per meter.

Yes the cheaper stuff costs us just under £70 a meter.

If someone is chargeing £1500 with vat and you have to travel all the way costing in region of £100 fuel in rex and train ticket £50-£80. Would make sense on paying someone local £1800 for the full job. Works out the same cost.

You want 1250 just for a dash.? Am I right?!

Up here for 1250+ vat you get GENUINE ALCANTARA, on the all the below items .

Dash.
Dash clocks bubble
A pillars
Door cards
Rear quarter panels
The gearstick surround.

Based on what London charges just for a dash, the saving is thousands.

Around £1250 for the dash means glove side panels of dash dome centre panel. Everything that goes along with the dash.

I would rather pay 1250 plus VAT for the interior than pay "around" 1250 for the Dash only. Sorry, but London is not that expensive, I dont know why rip off still exist when internet answers many questions! Thumbs up to Sgstyling

Everyone has their own views to it. £1250 plus vat will cost you £1500 to have all panels done plus your cost of traveling and a whole days travel then going back up to collect. You would end up paying more or saving approx £50-£100 travelling a 3-4 hour one way trip when it’s costing you at £1800 in London to have the same work done.

Fuel in the rex £70-£100 x2
Train £30-£80 x2

Also bare in mind not everyone’s vat registered to claim the vat back to save a little.

So for the dash on its own you want £1250 but for the cost price of what you get material for (£500) you will retrim the rest of the interior for no labour charge?! That's actually not so bad a deal now.

There not my prices just a company I use. That’s why I said initially the dash is around £1250 not exactly £1250. I’m waiting for my door cards to be completed and still need to drop of my glove box and other dash panels.

Door cards are being done similar style to your but with just the double stitching on the outside rather then an extra stitch on the inside.

It all depends which company you go to. As the guys I use have shown me there invoices of what they pay for the materials and have shown me the difference in the quality of them.

Yes. As the panels need stitching either way. It’s best to use the double stitching.
